William James Sullivan, Jr. fondly know as "BayBay" was born to the late William J. Sullivan, Sr. and Marie Beard-Sullivan in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where he resided until the age of 3. In 1954, his early childhood education. In 1996, the family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. BayBay completed his education, graduating from Shortridge High School, Class of 1969.
BayBay professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Jerriel Baptist Church of Cincinnati, Ohio under the leadership of Rev. A.L. Goodwin. Upon moving to Indianapolis, BayBay joined Joshua Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. Albert Batts, and was a faithful servant until his passing. BayBay loved quartet music, singing with Joshua Male Chorus, and family group Inspirational Gospel Singers.
After graduation, BayBay and his Dad became co-owners of Bill & Speed Auto Glass. BayBay was a loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Never meeting a stranger, he proudly fed anyone to enter his door. BayBay was loved by anyone he came in contact with, His array of hobbies also include reading, listening to music, cheering for his Indiana Sports teams, but nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family. BayBay loved to sit and watch his grandsons; Christopher and Solomon, and great-grandson Xavier. He enjoyed having hours conversations with his special son-in-law, Eddie Howard Sr.
BayBay departed this earthly life and went home to rest with his heaven father on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the age of 67 years old. BayBay is preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sisters, Betty Jean and Gloria Jean. BayBay was united in holy matrimony to the late Deidra Denise Oxendine-Sullivan, and to this one childe Notoshia was born.
BayBay is survived by two daughters; Notoshia D. (Eddie D. Sr.,) Howard, LaShonda (Stephen) Pipes, son, William, stepdaughter, Michelle Smith; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six sisters; Linda Ray, Freddie Sullivan, Peggy Finkton, Carol Sullivan, Elizabeth Sullivan, and Debra Moore-Sullivan; two stepsisters; Jacquelyn Wright and Cynthia (Vean) Jones; one brother, Tony Sullivan, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and two special friends/brother-in-laws, Garry Finkton and James Ray.
