William Ray Bandy, 86, Sheridan, Indiana entered Heaven on November 4, 2020. One of six children, Bill was born on February 16, 1934. Bill graduated from Arsenal Technical High School, Indianapolis, Indiana in 1952. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia from 1956-1958. He married Nancy E. Ross on December 29, 1956. He retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Company in 1994 after 41 years of service. Bill loved God and gave his life to Christ in 1954. He loved his country and was very patriotic. He was a loving and doting Papaw to his only grandchild.
Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy Bandy; son, David R. Bandy; daughter, Deborah R. Batistatos (Angelo); and granddaughter, Arianna N. Batistatos. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
A private family service will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis. A celebration of life service is planned for early spring 2021.
