Vonda L. Moeller

Vonda Lucille Springer Vahle Moeller, 92, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023, in Indianapolis, IN, where she was born on May 29, 1931, to Roy and Frances Springer. She was raised in Indy and graduated from Howe High School, before marrying her first love, Thomas N. Vahle. Vonda had a gift for giving and receiving happiness and she flourished as a wife and mother to their four children, then later as an adoring grandmother.

In addition to her deep Christian faith and love for family and friends, Vonda was known for her kindness to all, her creative gifts, her sense of fun and appreciation of others. Not only a skilled homemaker, she was also a talented seamstress, designing and sewing recital costumes for the Patti Lee Dance Studio for a number of years, among other projects.

She was devastated after the passing of her beloved Tom in 2003, before eventually finding love and happiness again in a second marriage, this time to Robert I. Moeller. She enjoyed expanding her family circle to include his four adult children and their families. She and Bob were fortunate to share many happy years together before he passed away in April 2023.

Vonda is survived by her son Curt (Judy), daughters Diane and Kathy, nine grandchildren and multiple great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Vonda was preceded in death by her siblings, Darrell Springer and Mary Donna Weaver; son Michael; son-in-law Richard and great-granddaughter Audrey.

Vonda leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but her family and friends are forever thankful to have loved and been loved by this sweet, radiant being and rejoice knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior.

A memorial visitation for Vonda will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Advent Evangelical Lutheran Church, 11250 N. Michigan Road, Zionsville, IN 46077. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM.
