Turesia Bowman

Turesia departed this life at the age of 88 on December 31st, 2024, at Harrison Terrace nursing home in Indianapolis Indiana.

Turesia accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in Jesus' name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost under the leadership of the late W.H. Hunter at Bethlehem Temple church in Benton Harbor Michigan, she served faithfully as a choir member.

Turesia was a lovable person to be around; she enjoyed drawing, cooking and most importantly dancing, she was always the life of the party.

Turesia relocated in 2018 to Indianapolis IN, where she resided with Todd and Linda Bowman. She became a member at Temple of Praise Assembly under the leadership of Bishop Donald Golder and Lady Barbara Golder. Turesia loved the Lord with all her heart.

Turesia was preceded in death by her husband Charles Bowman Sr, sister Gracie Burks, brother Eddie Foriest, two daughters: Dorothy (Dot) Harris, Linda Kay Blackmore, grandson Donnell Bowman, Elijah Deshon Bowman, and great-grandson Marlon Tyree Bowman.

Turesia is mourned by her children; Todd (Linda) Bowman, Larry (Stephanie) Bowman, Bruce (Lori) Bowman, Gene (Turk) Bowman, Andre Bowman, Charles Bowman Jr., Carl (Teijuania) Bowman, Marc (Feshona) Bowman Sr., Lorie (Anthony) Harris, Renee Harris. Sister-in-laws; Lilly Isom and Betsy Isom. She also leaves a host of nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation for Turesia will be held Friday, January 10, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Temple of Praise, 3969 Meadows Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46205, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM.
