Tony Eugene Johnson
February 22, 1962 – October 15, 2022

Tony Eugene Johnson, born February 22nd, 1962, found freedom from lung cancer on October 15th, 2022. He left this world surrounded by the unconditional love of his only daughter, Sara Lilliann Johnson, his mother Lillian Ollanketo, his sister Sandy Jeffers, and nephew Josh Johnson. Tony is survived by his son Alex, daughter Sara, mother Lillian, sister Sandy, brother Terry (Candy), stepmother Faye and nephew Chase Bruce. Tony will best be remembered by his devotion to his daughter and her artistic talents; the unexpected gift of meeting his son Alex Lamb at age 16 and discovering their shared love of music; his phenomenal wit and sense of humor and his endless loyalty to those around him. His family is grateful to his longtime friends Ernie, Bub, Donna, Samantha and childhood friends' Bo Bollinger and Dave Creasey. They are also forever grateful to his caregivers, especially Robert. Tony is predeceased by his father Melvin Johnson, stepfather Walt Ollanketo, and friend Spike Bolinger. He graduated from Perry Meridian High School in 1980 and spent the next 30 years at Mears Machinery, where he made many close friends. His friends and caregivers are welcome Saturday, October 22nd, from 1-3pm for a private casual Celebration of Life with food and drinks at his mom’s house. In lieu of flowers, please share a memory on paper at the Celebration of Life or email your memories or questions to [email protected]. All memories will be given to Sara to create a memory book in her dads honor.
