Todd Harrison Trainer passed away on November 15, 2024. Born in Portland, Oregon, Todd was raised in Indianapolis and spent much of his life in the area. He was the first of three children of Tom and Jenny Trainer. As the eldest son, Todd followed in his father’s footsteps, attending Indiana University and becoming a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Also like his dad, Todd was a very talented football player. He was a member of the IU football team for a short time after an impressive high school career playing quarterback at Pike High School. After college, Todd became a member of the PGA and spent several years working in the golf industry at various resorts in Florida and clubs in the Midwest. He spent the last several years caring for other members of his family. Todd loved Florida and always enjoyed entertaining the idea of returning there to play golf. He loved dogs, fishing, and creating memories with friends. Todd was blessed with many long-time, loving, supportive, patient friends, whom he accumulated through high school and college. The family is grateful for all those who served as his friend over the years.
Todd will be missed by the many who loved him.
Todd was preceded in death by his dad, Tom, and grandparents, John and Janet Hair and Frank and Blanche Trainer. He is survived by his mom and siblings Rush and Alison.
Funeral will be at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church North Indy Campus on November 22nd with visitation at 1pm and service at 2pm. Burial is at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250 at 3:30pm.
