Tom was born in Indianapolis, November 23, 1942 to the late Tharel and Agnes (Roach) Brown and was a graduate of Beech Grove High School, class of 1960. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired from Allison’s/Rolls Royce in 2003 after 41 years of dedicated service.
Tom was an avid fisherman, enjoyed working in his garden, playing Carrom and Bag-O with his best friends, and especially spending time with “his boys,” Jake and Eli. Tom was a strong, meticulous man, taking pride in everything he did, but he will be remembered most for his gentle heart and his fierce love for his family and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his former wife, but forever love, Jane (Bryant), last November.
Surviving are “his boys,” Jake and Eli; sister, Barbara Harlow; children, Tammy Winton, Tommy (Jackie) Brown and Debbie (Danny) Brown-Isaacs; grandchildren, Heather, Stacia, Eric, Lauren, Shelby, Jansen, Brooke, Christina, Kyle, Chelsea and Derek; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be made to Southside Animal Shelter 1614 W. Edgewood Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46217.
Services are private.
