Dr. Pfeifer was my doctor and also my mother’s doctor. He was a very kind, understanding man. When the office on Allisonville closed, we were sad. Not too long ago, we tried looking for Dr. Pfeifer again. I am very sad to hear he passed.

I don’t know if a family member will see this so long after the fact, but I just learned this. I am so sad! He was the best doctor ever! I had friends who went to him as well and we were extremely sad when his office on Allisonville Rd. Closed. He was so young to pass away! 

I loved how his eyes sparkled when I came in for my visits. He loved helping people be as healthy as they could possibly be. I learned so much from him.

I just want to say that I am very sorry for your loss. 

Stephen Pfiefer was my physician for many years. He was a wonderful listener and a sympathetic man, who truly cared about his patients. He used holistic medicine which was healthier than prescribing drugs!

He will be truly missed!

A memory of my friend! Race weekend 2012 and I was left at his home, before Uber, I was gonna get a cab and Doc said no you can crash here. Little did we both know, we would end up in a great friendship! We stayed up until 10:30 a.m. the next morning, on his deck with both our stomachs and backs hurting from so much laughter! I was like, "Hell, I need a doctor from so much laughter, he was like,  "Well hell, we are both in trouble because I am no good to you now, my friend!" He went into his kitchen and started breakfast! Doc and I would have many great moments and true adventures, together! He never judged me, from that moment on, he just saw an amazing connection! That's who he was! He was a brilliant man who helped me and so many more! He was a gentleman until the end. This hurts me, greatly! Sydney and Mike, I am here! I truly loved and will miss your dad and brother! Rest In Peace, Doc!🙏🏾

I want to thank everyone who has shared their thoughts and memories about my son, Steve.   It has just been overwhelming the love and caring expressed.  Again, thanks from the entire family.

     I remember Steve as a chubby, happy baby.
     I remember Steve who even as a child was interested in how the body worked.
     I remember Steve at family dinners through all his years.
     I remember Steve as a camping buddy for some thirty years -.

children to me in 1988.
     I remember Steve as one of a couple (Steve and Kim) who gave 
me a beautiful granddaughter Sydney as we shared in her growing-up years.
     I remember Steve as someone who smiled, cared and always added a positive note.
    I remember and loved Steve in so many ways.
    Thank you, Lord, for bringing Steve into my life!

Dr. Pfeifer helped so many people, including me, my niece and many friends.  This is heartbreaking.  Praying for family and all of us who will miss him dearly.

I have too many good memories of Steve to include in a brief synopsis. He is one of the very few people that I can say I have known my entire life. I have looked up to him since I was a little kid. I've gone bird watching with him, camped throughout the state of Indiana with him, been under his command as a boy scout when he was senior patrol leader in Troop 133, have shared dinners and drinks with him, have entrusted him with the healthcare of myself and my kids, saw one of the last concerts by Yes with him, one time even got into a multi level marketing business with him, and we ate a lot of Thanksgiving dinners together. All good memories that I will always cherish. RIP my brother.

Steve was our family doctor for many years and always was spot on in treatment. I had contracted crohn’s disease In 1979 and had been “treated” by several specialists over the years.  I had been put on remicade treatments which were being administered every five weeks and which were seriously negatively affecting my health. 
When Steve started practicing functional medicine, we found him and consulted with him. He ran some tests and found a parasite in my system, which was causing my auto-immune problem. After several months of antibiotics, the parasite was eliminated and my health was restored.  I am certain that I would be gone today had I not seen Steve for treatment.
Thanks for my life, Steve.

A  memory  of Steve took place around 1966 when his whole family came to visit in St. Louis, Missouri.  His mom (I knew her as Anita) and I  went to high school together in Indianapolis.  We spent a fun filled  weekend together  taking the three Pfeiffer children  and the three Krebs children to the zoo and other sites of St Louis.  I have known his mom Anita since and saw young Steve various times over the years, a bright, happy child.  I love Steve as I do his mom Anita.  He is in Gods arms now, no longer in pain.  May the family, especially Sidney  rest in the knowledge that they all covered Steve’s life with love everlasting.  Jeannette and Ron Krebs






So sad to hear of Steve’s passing.  I first met Dr Pfeifer when he came into our Geist business and invited us to his house where he had gathered other entrepreneurs who mingled and shared business models.  He cared genuinely and deeply for his friends, colleagues and patients.  He was devoted to his quest for increasing  and sharing  knowledge of wholistic medicine and improving people’s lives. Steve was a true gentleman. He was loving, kind, smart and fun! So many memories of him. He had such a great personality  and loved his daughter tremendously. He sang and played guitar with his very deep voice, sounded like Johnny Cash. He loved concerts and reading, jacuzzi and saunas, historical and war artifacts. My memories with him are precious and will always have a special piece of my heart for him. Fly high until we meet again, my love

Really going to miss this guy… So many concerts, vacations, sporting events, and our daughters soccer together. 

I was fortunate to be in the class of 1987 which is how I met Steve. I immediately felt comfortable around him and sought him out at social gatherings. The conversation flowed easily and there was never a shortage of those deep belly laughs that only certain people can evoke. This was one of Steve’s many gifts as one can tell from the comments. Steve’s life made the world a better place. I offer up prayer for his daughter, family and friends who feel the loss deeply. I pray that the blessings of so many good memories and times shared will provide comfort at a time of grieving. Rick Robertson

I've known Steve since high school and we reconnected later in life because of our work . Steve was not only a authentic and happy person to be around he was also an outstanding physician who helped and cared for many. I am so sad to hear my friend is gone. He will be missed greatly. My prayers to his family.

Steve was such a peaceful soul! I remember studying nursing with his sister(Dawn)my dearest friend, and him benching weights in the basement of their house. He was a great resource  for all our medical questions. He made nsg school more tolerable for both of us. Later in life he worked w/my own father as a consultant for holistic medicine. He was not only a brilliant mind,but a kind down to earth person. He will be dearly remembered and forever missed.

We are so very sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. Steve was a good and kind man to my family. We have fond memories of times spent together. Our condolences, thoughts and prayers for peace and strength are with the Pfeifer/Sheets family.

I will miss Steve very much. A dear friend from Medical School, who’s easy going personality and warm friendship was definitely an aid to me in getting through Med school. A Spring trip, multiple golf trips full of much trash talking , and great memories. A fine man, treasured friend,  and Doctor, God Speed, Stevo!

My sincere condolences to Dr. Pfeifer's family, as I was saddened to learn of his passing.  I have very fond memories of playing with Steve and his siblings as children in Indianapolis and later as our family had moved away to various locations in the midwestern US.  Many, many, many fun memories.  Thank you Steve, and may God bless you and your memory be a blessing to your family.

He was a PCP for all my family and basically all my friends ! I started going to him when he cured my now 34 year old son of pneumonia at 3 years old when no other doctor could ! I have many stories of how he saved lives ! When he left his practice we were all sad and lost… No one will ever replace him in our minds ! He was so kind and intuitive. I am a nurse and know how rare it is to fine a caring doctor like him. Your family is in our thoughts and  prayers and we are all so sorry for your loss ;(

I am sorry to hear about the passing Doctor Pfeifer.  I started seeing him in 1998 at American Health Network and considerable time with him after he started his functional health business.  I am very lucky to have had him as my doctor and I know he was a big help with my current health situation.  May he rest in peace and my sincere sympathy to his family.

Steve was my  best friend in elementary school, and that kind of bond is very special, because it's a lifetime bond. He was just a great, warm hearted person, who was always willing to give the best of himself for others. He was just built that way.  My lasting memory of Steve was that he was a warm, kind, fun loving, gentle soul, and he was such a good, loyal friend to me, through thick and thin. I am going to miss him immeasurably, and my thoughts and prayers go out to his parents, Robert and Nikki, as well as to his younger siblings, Dawn and Mike, and his daughter, Sydney.  He made a huge impact on this earth, and will be dearly missed by the many people whose lives he touched and influenced throughout his amazing journey. So Steve, thank you for making such a positive impact on my life. Just like our friendship, that will be forever.  

Dr. Pfizer was the Doctor responsible for saving my life. He was the only Doctor of approximately 4 or 5 that I had seen in 2014 for health issues who skillfully diagnosed my condition as protozoa infection. I was more than likely going to die as I was an emaciated 130 lb. Man down from 175. He put me on the road to recovery and was a very caring and understanding physician unlike many others. I want to extend my very heartfelt condolences to his family and pray this great Doctor to Rest in Heavenly Peace.

Dr. Steve talked to me about NAD-IV for addiction a few years ago.  He was right about NAD it was and is my miracle that saved me from addiction.  It saved my life more than once.  He got nothing for advising me, but he really helped me and reached me on a very deep spiritual level.  He was motivating and a very special person. I found him extremely intriguing!  He really cared about people, and I felt the love.  I want more than anything to help others freely as He did me.  His passing has really moved me I wish I could thank him and talk to him!!!   I did not know him very well but I never could forget how truly amazing I thought he was  sincerely!!!!!.    God bless his family and friends; we already miss you, Dr Steve !!!!!!!!!
