Stephen "Steve" Payne

58, passed away May 22, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born in Indianapolis and work as an auto mechanic supervisor for Metro Taxi in Indianapolis.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Margie Payne; daughter Lisa; son Jason (Gina) Payne; grandchildren Shelby and Tyler Payne; parents Bill and Evelyn Payne; brother Mike Payne and sisters Kathy (John) Schuerman and Susie (Rich Able) Payne.

Steve was a kind, sweet, loyal husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He was well read, very prolific in his writing, loved his family, enjoyed racing especially NASCAR and the Figure 8 Racing at the Speedrome.

Visitation will be held Sunday June 1st at Little & Sons Stop 11 Chapel from 1:00-3:30 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 4:00 PM in the funeral home.
