Shirley J Doyle, age 85, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at her son’s home in Coatesville, IN with her family at her side. Born October 19, 1936 in St Louis, Missouri, Shirley was raised by her Grandparents Mary and Oliver Hartman.
Shirley moved to Indianapolis in 2014 to be closer to her family after the death of her husband Jim. She moved to a retirement community where she enjoyed reading, Euchre, Phase 10, crossword puzzles Bingo and Bible study. She described living among so many close friends more as family than friends. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling with her husband Jim to Vegas and San Francisco. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her kitty and occasional visits from her Great step Granddaughters. She enjoyed watching and following the St Louis Cardinals.
She married the love of her life “Jimmy” Jim Doyle on October 20, 1998 In Las Vegas, Nevada. He proceeded her in death on February 25, 2013.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter and her husband Jim.
Survivors include two sons: John (Vicky) Condon, Jim (Sandy) Condon; one grandson Ryan Wood, four step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. As well as so many very special friends at her apartment complex.
At Shirley’s request there will be no public memorial service.
The family requests memorial contribution be made to Wounded Warriors or Disabled American Veterans in Shirley’s memory.
