Shirley Jean Spencer Abbott

She is survived by her five children, Kathy Jean Stinson, Robert Allan Kincade, Karen (Constantino) Theoharatos, Paul Daniel (Trish) Abbott, Cristina Lynne (Elijah) Barry; two sisters, Ruby Monaghan and Wanda Spencer; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two of her siblings.

Shirley enjoyed experiencing everything life had to offer, including being a realtor, political committee member, and painter. Her artistic talent was recognized with awards for her oil paintings, but she was most proud of her family and being a mother. She loved to travel and was happiest with a dog by her side. Later in life, she enjoyed playing cards with her friends, doing crossword puzzles, and watching classic movies. She also was an avid reader. Her love of chocolate was so legendary that her family claims it’s hereditary. Despite some challenges in her life, Shirley was strong, resilient, and the experiences she went through made her a fighter. Her tenacious spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.
