Good Cop from the beginning to end!  We had a great working relationship from the time she partnered w/ me to pick up a female prisoner in OK, to Special Investigations and North District.  I will miss her "Class Act"! We all loved your Mom and our "Sister".

I worked as a Sergeant for Sheryl on the Adam sector in the late 60's. A great lady and Cop. I will miss her.

I worked with Sheryl in the late 70's, she was an outstanding policewoman with a great sense of humor.  She will be missed by all of those still fortunate enough to be near her.

I first met Lt Sheryl Turk as a civilian employee and shortly after I began my career as an Officer.  Lt. Turk was one of few female Officers that the new rookie females could look up to.  Work hard, play hard, thank you for the memories Sheryl, they don't make them like you anymore.

Leighia, so sorry for your loss.  Your mother was a good officer and well respected by all that knew her.  Keep the memories n your heart. Many Blessings from Above to you and your family .

Leighia, I was stunned when I learned of your mother's passing.  Although we hadn't talked in such a long time the memory of all the great times we had have always remained.  I will never forget when you & your mother went to Switzerland with my parents & Natalie & me. We had such a wonderful time while we were there. I only wish we would have kept in touch. I'm so sorry to hear about Sheryl.  I know she will be greatly missed.  I'm so glad I got to visit with her and Wanda last year at Aunt Naoma's.  I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.  I'm sorry we're not able to come to the visitation, but you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Leighia,  Your mom told me my dad was the reason she became a police officer.  She was such a good friend and so supportive to him when he battled his cancer.  I am sure dad was there to greet her.  He is probably glad to have someone up there to harass (and someone to harass him back).  She was a good woman.

Leighia, your mother will be dearly missed, but remembering the memories of your shared moments will always remain and be cherished, for those cannot be taken from us.  May she rest in peace.

Knew Sheryl many years. She was a fine officer and a greater person. We are so glad she got to visit us on Marco before she became critically ill. I was very sorry to hear of Sheryl's premature passing.  She was a highly respected police officer and well liked within the department.  I personally always had a high opinion of Lt. Turk. My deepest sympathy to her family in their loss.
