Sandra Lee Curry

Sandra Lee Curry, 83, of Indianapolis, entered into eternal rest on October 11, 2023. She was born in Indianapolis, IN to the late James and Helen Bertel. Sandra was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ and was also involved with the Shriners. She enjoyed going to lunch brunch, traveling, shopping, and playing bridge. Sandra also loved going camping and dancing.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Curry.

She is survived by her brother, Lanny “Joe” (Brenda) Bertel; sister, Terry S. (Bob) Thurston; step-daughter, Tamara (Paul) Storey; nephews, Rob (Sarah) Pardue, AJ Bertel, Bryan (Amy) Bertel, Chad (Julie) Bertel, and Garrett Bertel; along with her nieces, Alexis Bertel, Colleen Bertel, Emma Bertel, Abbie Bertel, and David Ray Curry; step-grandson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Friedens United Church of Christ, 8300 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46217. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the church.
