Obituary of Roscoe Jones
Roscoe “Boss” M. Jones, loving father & C.E.O of Indianapolis, Indiana moved on with our great ancestors on October 24, 2022, at the age of 61. R.M.J was born in Indiana in Indianapolis with 14 siblings from J. W & Betty Jones, so fighting to make it to the top came naturally growing up. Throughout his life’s journey he never accepted failure as a crutch or being told ‘he wasn’t capable of doing’ barricade any goal he set to achieve. He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family & friends who were always entertained by his stories & hilarious sense of humor. He truly brought the life to the party. He is remembered for his generous hospitality, entrepreneurial leadership, marketing & development abilities, and ultimately the love for those closest to him. “Rocky” at a young age was world-renowned for his mouth, not holding back his opinion and a knack for telling it like it is. He always told us the truth even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear. His extensive vocabulary was more than highly proficient at knowing more “vibrant adjective” words than most people learned in a lifetime. He liked four letter words as much as he loved stacking ‘Benjamins’ and buying vehicles. Roscoe is the pure example of a “Business Man.” From the start busting suds washing dishes at Harold Steer-in, to being a telemarketing C.E.O at C.I.C and sustaining as an entrepreneurial wizard creating multiple streams of revenue: Bug Busters, Tree cutting services, Road Tour selling shoes, Telemarketing, selling cars, moving company, restaurant, Junk removal, tanning salon, medical equipment supplier to say the least. Nevertheless, up until the crown jewel of Roscoe Express Delivery (R.E.D). He truly believed “If you fall, fall on your back. If you can look up, you can get up” Pops never let the fear of failure hold him back from any of his obstacles in life. If you asked Pops, his greatest accomplishment wasn’t his business legacy or developing R.E.D. It was being a father. Roscoe may have only had two biological children (Corey Roscoe Jones & Courtney Faith-Ann Brooke) ultimately, he has been a father for so many of our siblings & friends. Pops love transformed the lives of everyone he encountered. He brought a bounty of “tuff” love to everything he did… with his passion to strive for success, his smile, and unbounded hospitality. His remarkable ability to connect with people, share his self with life experiences and evoke that same spirit of love in each person he knew. Roscoe “Boss” is survived by his beloved twin flame Regina Young, 1st born Corey Roscoe Jones, daughter Courtney Faith-Ann Brooke Jones, grandchildren Rykol v. Cabrera-Jones, Corlito A. Cabrera- Jones, Serenity Jones. He’s beloved bonus son’s Bobby Griffin, Brenton Griffin, Dexter Parker, Bruce “Alex” Knox, and all grandchildren. His beloved mother Betty Jones & all 14 brothers and sisters with extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in memory of Roscoe “Boss” Jones at $Scoe34 (CASHAPP) to support continuing the marathon with love. Visitation will be held 10:00am Saturday November 12 Crown Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 12:00pm Saturday November 12 at Crown Hill Funeral Home.
