

Visitation for Bob will be from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM on Saturday, April 20th at Leppert Mortuary-Nora Chapel. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 4:00pm.
The family of Robert B. Pfeifer, 87, is saddened to share that Bob departed this life on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. Bob was born August 2, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois to Bernard W. and Hilda (Shields) Pfeifer, but was raised in Indianapolis. Bob served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Notre Dame University, became an Indiana Certified Public Accountant, and then owned and operated Robert B. Pfeifer CPA for 40 years.
Bob enjoyed being involved in his community and making a difference. He was a Board member for Gennesaret Free Medical Clinic, Marion County Health & Hospital Corporation, Nora-Northside Community Council, Indianapolis Symphonic Choir and Optimist International.
Bob was a familiar face at Grace Church in Noblesville where he assisted in the “English As A Second Language” classes as well as assisting with ESL at Faith Church in Indianapolis. He really enjoyed reading which led to his volunteering as an Oasis Reading Tutor at College Park Elementary School for 18 years.
Bob was also an enthusiastic Boy Scout leader for Troop 133 during his sons’ years in scouting. He loved the outdoors, hiking, and birding. He had many lasting memories of hiking through sections of the Appalachian Trail in all 14 states as well as visits to 49 of our 50 states. He stayed in shape hiking, camping, and playing handball with a great group of guys for 40 years. He made friends wherever he went.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his first wife Anita Scheele Pfeifer and son Dr. Stephen Pfeifer. Bob is survived by his wife of 35 years, Pat Sheets Pfeifer; children, Dawn (Don) Masters, Michael Pfeifer, Jeff Sheets, and Michele Sheets; and grandchildren, Sydney (fiancé Josh Wilkinson) Pfeifer, Rhiannon Sheets, and Dylan Sheets.

Private inurnment for Bob will be at Crown Hill National Cemetery Annex.
