Richard M. Patterson, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 23, 2024 in Avon, Indiana.
Richard was born in Indianapolis to William and Myrtle Patterson on December 21, 1934. He went to school at Franklin Township in Marion County. He married Wynonia Patterson on July 26, 1958 in Indianapolis. He graduated from Indiana Central College and Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis. He worked as an attorney, legal editor and historical author for 50 years and served in the Army during the 1950s.
Richard is survived by his wife Wynonia, his son’s Michael and his wife Jennifer, Steven and his wife Karen, his grandchildren, Emma, Chase, and Kelsey and his great grandchildren Sam, Charlie, and Joshua.
A visitation will be held from 12:00PM-1:00PM on Friday February 2, 2024 at Crown Hill Funeral Home 700 W 38th St Indianapolis, IN followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
