Richard ""Tony" Anthony Jones

Richard “Tony” Anthony Jones, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 17, 2022. Richard was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Richard William Jones and Cora Frances (Brown) Forte on August 23, 1955. He graduated from Walnut Hills High School in 1973. He attended the University of Cincinnati, graduating with an associate degree in business administration. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served as a personnel management non-commissioned officer. After leaving the military, he worked as an information technology consultant for several IT companies. Later he was employed with the Indiana Department of Corrections where he worked as a corrections officer. He was an avid reader and loved listening to gospel music. Richard is preceded in death by his mother, Cora Frances (Brown) Forte; stepfather, Willie J. Forte; and sister, Tonya Renee Brown. Richard is survived by his daughters, Aziza Keglar (Skyler) and Amilia Baker; grandchildren, Audrey, Avalyn, and Uriah; brothers, Stephon Jones, Terry Griffin, and Terrell Griffin; father, Richard Jones; former spouse, Augusta Jones. He also leaves behind beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery. Military Funeral Honors will be conducted at a later date in a private family service.
