89, of Indianapolis departed this life January 2, 2016. He was born September 6, 1926 in Adolphus, Kentucky to Curt and Nellie Britt Fowler. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked for D & J Service Station Maintenance. He is preceded in death by his wife Ethel May Phipps Fowler. Richard is survived by his sons Richard Lee “Doc” (Karen) Fowler, Curt (Patty) Fowler, Roger (Robin) Fowler, Phil (Kay) Fowler, David (Mary) Fowler, Joe (Gail) Fowler, Richard M. ((Martha) Fowler Jr., George (Anna) Fowler, step-son David Phipps and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be buried in Anderson Cemetery.
