Richard Paul Beck

Richard P. “Dick” Beck, 84, of Indianapolis, passed away April 24, 2015. He was born in Washington, IN, moving to Indianapolis in 1940. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1948 followed by four years in the U.S. Navy. He earned a BA degree at Marian College and a MA at Butler University. He taught English for 31 years, 23 of those at T.C. Howe High School, retiring in 1990. Dick held leadership positions in the Indianapolis Education Association. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife: Ruth M. (Joyce) Beck and two sisters: Sharon Goebel and Kay Perdue. Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, April 28, 10:00 am in St. John’s Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to Mass. Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary is entrusted with arrangements.
