At an early age he attended Christ Temple Apostolic Church and Bethel Apostolic Church.
Paul received his education at IPS #26 and Crispus Attucks High School. As a teenager he delivered the Indianapolis Star Newspapers.
While a young man, he was employed at Woolworth's five and ten cent stores as a dishwasher in Indianapolis, Indiana, later enlisting in the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam and discharged in 1969. Paul retired from Chrysler Corporation in 2001 and also worked for Dean Transportation after retirement.
Paul was united in matrimony to Emma Jean King on October 12, 1968 in Indianapolis, IN and from this union was born a daughter, Leslie Arvina Jones. He also married Sheila Brown on April 19, 1996 in Detroit, Michigan, and in June of 1999 Paula Lynn Annette Jones joined the union. While Paul didn't have many hobbies, he did love playing video games and competing with other players. Paul kept in touch with his good buddies in Indianapolis, Kenneth Edward and Pete Sanders.
Paul departed this life at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital on February 28, 2019 at the age of 74. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters; Eula Stewart, Josephine Adair, 2 brothers, Robert Woodson and Richard Woodson.
Paul leaves to cherish his memories 2 daughters; Leslie A. Marble (Darrell) and Paula Jones, 3 grandchildren, Chaztan Moore, Fabian Marble, Jaybriel Marble, twin sister, Paulette Diane Jones, brother, Kirk LaRue Jones (Claudia Lopez Mata), stepchildren; Kimberla Craig, Lavetrice Johnson, Byron Stanfield, Ebony Stanfield and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
