Patricia Lee Steele passed peacefully from this life on August 8, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She lived a full and loving life married to her sweetheart, Charles Steele for 60 years until he passed away in 2012. They had three children, Wanda, Mike and Julie. She loved the Lord, her family and serving others.
Patricia's heart was on fire for God. Over the many years she served at Church, she took on many different roles - Teacher, Organist, Pianist, Leader, Elder and even gave a few sermons. She loved praying with others and teaching them about how much God loved them and what he had done for her. She knew her scripture and loved sharing her favorite verses.
"Mother and Grandma" loved to be with her family. She liked to watch movies and eating popcorn. She loved games with the grandkids, catching up on what everyone was doing and just being silly with the family. She loved the holidays with big family get-togethers with lots of food and of course, plenty of yummy desserts. Over the years, she had many dogs as companions, but her last dog, Schatzi, a miniature schnauzer, was by far her favorite. She was her constant companion and comfort.
She served others by becoming a registered nurse. She served in many capacities as a nurse - in hospitals and in doctor's offices; but she finally found her niche when she served as a home health care nurse, especially in the hospice field. God gave her the unique ability to be able to handle the tender hearts of those dealing with critical and terminal conditions. She was able to ease them through their pain making the pathway a little easier.
Patricia leaves behind her children: Wanda Lopez, Michael (Cherrie) Steele, Julie (David) Schipp, 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Family and Friends may call at Crown Hill Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by graveside burial service.
