

Keith Decheryl Woods was born August 16, 1952 to the late Carrie Erma and Gus Foster Wood, Sr. Indianapolis, Inidana. Keith attended the Indianapolis Public School Systems. In 1962 he proudly enlisted into the United States Army, serving in the West 173 Airborn Brigade in North Carolina. He was a cook and parachute jumper with 127 jumps from Seal/130. Later he was employed at Von Dupin for 14 years until his health began to fail. Keith enjoyed drag racing cars. His favorite car was a 442 oldsmobile. Keith loved his family especially his grandchildren. There was nothing he would not do for them. He was a master chef known for his famous Bar B Que. Keith enjoyed fixing things with his hands, and could fix anything and would for everyone who asked without mumbling a word. He was always there for his friends and family.
In 1995 Keith joined the Gr. St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church where he drove the bus daily for the summer youth camp for 3 years. Later he moved his membership to Good Shepherd Missionary Baptist Church. Keith fell in love with his teenage sweetheart and soul mate, Bethel. The two remained together for 20 beautiful years until the Lord called him home on August 19 around noon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Gus Foster Woods, Jr, Jerry DeWayne Woods. He leaves to cherish his memory: The love of his life, wife Bethel, sons: Brian Luster, De Juan Woods, Nicholas (Sheila) Glover, Jonathan Woods, god son Clifford Glover Jr. , daughter Nicole Glover, goddaughter Tache Thomas, nine grandchildren, brothers Melvin T. Woods, Rodney Woods, sisters Gloria E. Darden, LaVonia M. Jones, Fern E. Grundy, half sister La Tanna Davis, mother in law Leona R. Williams, father in law Mr. Booker T. Williams, three aunts Ms. Mildred Thomas, Ms. Mary E. Brooks, Ms. Catheryne A. Brooks, one uncle Mr. Lionel Campbell, and a special friend of 45 years Mr. Gerald Glover, and a host of extended relatives and friends.
