

In February 1963 Shirley confessed her hope in Christ Jesus, under the late Rev. Robert T. Bennett of South Calvary Baptist Church in Indianapolis.
Shirley attended Harry E. Wood High School here in Indianapolis, Indiana where she graduated from in June 1969. Shirley briefly attended Indiana University's Upward Bound Program, but later continued her education and graduated from the Devington Career Center receiving her Certificate of Secretarial Administration.
In July 1970 Shirley was united in marriage to Ralph Bostick having two children Michael W. and Jennifer Y. Bostick. Shirley Bostick would tell anyone that she gives all credit to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for helping raise two wonderful children and blessing her with eight beautiful grandchildren, Donavan Jerald, Aiden Michael, and Teagan Riley Bostick, Octavia Shavonne, Anthony Leon, Jason Eric McGee, Kadijah Zhane, and Aziza Monique Lewis.
In 1978 Shirley changed her membership under the late James Patton. Shirley re-directed her life to Christ under the leadership of her beloved Pastor, Rev. Curtis L. Vance.
On August 19, 1995 Shirley Bostick answered the call to the ministry. On October 8, 1995 (which was her birthday), she preached her first message "Don't let fear keep you from your Birthright."
On November 7, 2004 minister Bostick received her Ministerial License to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ by her pastor Rev. Curtis L. Vance.
After 20 years of service with the State of Indiana Minister Bostick retired.
To further her understanding of the Word of God, Minister Bostick briefly attended New Bethel Seminary here in Indianapolis. Later Minister Bostick atteneded New Beginnings (Alpha) College Ministry receiving her certificate of completion in the "Five Fold Ministries". Minister Bostick received her Biblical Counseling training at St. Luke and completed the required Associate minister classes conducted by her Pastor, Rev. Curtis L. Vance, and Rev. Ron Sweatt, PHD.
In 2014 Minister Bostick took a refresher course for Associate ministers called "Under Construction Ministry Inc." conducted by Dr. Mario Elcock, and was later added to the staff, as secretary.
Minister Bostick continued her education in Charismatic Studies at Indiana Christian University in Noblesville also receiving the honor of "Cum Laude." Minister Bostick sought the Lord in obtaining her Bachelor's Degree, which she received on June 18, 2011, from the Metropolitan College of Theology in Indianapolis, which is subsidiary of North Carolina College of Theology and received the Student of the year award.
Minister Shirley Ann Bostick has been faithful in her stewardship at St. Luke, for over 33 years plus years. Minister Bostick has served in various capacities such as:
St Luke Youth Director, Sunday School Super-intendant and Teacher, Co-Director and writer for the 2007 Women's Day play; Assistant Director of Children's Church and teacher. Minister Bostick served as Director and co-Director of Vacation Bible School, St. Luke's Prison Fellowship Ministry served with the St. Luke Nurses Guild, Teacher and Counselor for Young Matrons, Minister Bostick served with Ellen Graves Night Mission as teacher and secretary, Singles ministry teacher, Counselor and Secretary of the Go Getters who helped purchase St. Likes first bus.
Minister Bostick sung with the Gospel Ensembles and St. Luke Mass Choir. Minister Bostick was the keynote speaker for both Anderson Zion Women's Day Service and the Zion Hope Nurses Ministry in Indianapolis.
Minister Bostick was an active facilitator for the Young Teens Workshop and coordinated the St. Luke Mortgage Burning Service on December 12, 2010, and Co-Chairperson of Women's Day 2017.
Minister Bostick's outside ministries included a dramatization of shows taken from the bible called a "Trip to the Beauty Shop Inc." Participated in both Women's prison ministry Alliance and Leadership Ministry; Wheeler Missions, Homeless and Street Ministry, Visitation of Nursing Homes, Sick and Shut-in Ministry, Minister Bostick collected Bibles for overseas missions and the Samaritan Purse Ministry, and Habatat for Humanity Project. Minister Bostick steeped over demonical lines to assist other churches and ministries with their programs and projects.
