Mildred Sheila Coglianese, the youngest daughter of Mildred and Thomas Burke, the devoted wife of Fred V Coglianese, the loving mother and Matriarch of 9 Children,30 Grandchildren and 37 Great Grandchildren, passed on from this earth and into the hands of her Beloved God and Savior on Friday, July 7, 2023.
Mildred grew up in Jersey City with her parents and two sisters Joan and Mary Patricia. Blessed with an amazing voice for song, she pursued drama and theater as her loves until she met Fred, her prince and lived happily ever after. She had a most incredible, genuine devotion to her Lord. It was through the lens of faith that she viewed all things. She shared her faith with love and passion with everyone in her life in a her sincere and humble way. Her children and loved ones will never forget her desire to instill, in anyone who would listen, the power of faith and the love that comes with a devotion to Christ. Whether she was encouraging her children to do right with her famous “What Would Jesus Do” prodding or her incredible love for all things EWTN and the Order of Carmelites, she did it with Jesus in her heart. Through all life's ups and downs, she never wavered in word or deed when it came to her faith. She practiced what she preached. She lived a life of service to all those around her and through her actions touched countless people who have routinely professed the impact she made on their lives. Some of the key ministries she gave her time and focus to were Right to Life, Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites, Altar Society, Communion Ministry to the homebound, Eucharistic Adoration, and constant devotion to the Divine Mercy.
