Michael Edward O'Connell

Michael O’Connell, 69, passed away peacefully, on January 26th, 2021, sharing his final moments with family at his home in Indianapolis. He was born in New Jersey on October 31st, 1951, the third of eight children, to Phyllis and Marcus O’Connell.

Mike earned a BS from the University of Dayton and pursued postgraduate education in commercial art in Portland , Oregon, eventually landing in Indianapolis, his home for 40 years. Turning passion to work, he built a career in graphic design for professional sports, radio, and events.

To Mike, family was not just important, it was everything.

Mike is survived by his wife, Cindy , 3 children, Kevin (Stacie), Brian (Leyna), and Kathleen (Sean McMahon) and 4 grandchildren, Avery, Morgan, Brynn, and Mason. He is also survived by siblings : Mary Beth McArdle, Patricia Rose, Theresa Picard, Colleen O’Connell-Moores, Mark, Paul , Bill O’Connell and numerous beloved in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
