Mike passed away peacefully in his home on February 20, 2023.

At a young age, his family moved to San Antonio, Texas. After graduating from high school, Mike joined the U.S. Army and served a tour of duty in Germany. After returning to Ft. Harrison in Indianapolis to complete his military service, he met and married Mary Jo Kiefer in 1968. Mike then began college and graduated from IUPUI while working full time. He worked in the banking industry for over 30 years beginning at Indiana National Bank and after several mergers he decided to retire from banking.

Mike was preceded in death by brothers, Gerry Brown and Timothy Brown, sister Beverly Hettinger.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Brown, son Greg Brown (Rylinn), grandson Reece Brown, granddaughter Nola Brown, and a brother Thomas Brown.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests considering a donation to a cancer charity of your choice or perform a random act of kindness in his memory.

A visitation for Michael will be held Monday, February 27, 2023, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, in the Mausoleum Peace Chapel, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
