Mary was born in Galway, Ireland to Walter Qualter and Mary Anne Hession on
February 24th, 1935. She grew up and was schooled in Galway. She married
Michael D. Murphy on January 21st, 1961 in Indianapolis. She worked in management at
Ameritech for 50 years. She was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church from 1970 until
1988 before becoming a member at Holy Spirit at Geist. She was an active member at Holy
Spirit for over 25 years as well.
Mary is preceded in death by Walter Qualter and Mary Anne Hession (parents); her brother,
Tony Qualter, as well as her husband, Michael Murphy.
Mary is survived by daughter, Eileen Wright, son-in-law, Rick Wright, grandson, Tyler Wright and
her son, Brian Murphy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Miracle Place of Indianapolis in Mary’s name.
