Mary Scott "Scottie" Crawley

Scottie was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Lowell and Dorothy Pounds on December 19, 1938. She graduated in 1957 from St. John Academy in Indianapolis. She married Sammy Gibson on January 3, 1958. From that union came two daughters, Theresa Gibson Ritz and Vicki Gibson Hofmann. Later in life she met and married Gib Crawley. She spent most of her career as an office manager, most recently retiring from Precision Control in 2005.

Scottie was an open wheel race fan, and Colts fan. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and socializing with the ladies at Harmony of Avon. She especially loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother.

Scottie is preceded in death by her parents Lowell and Dorothy Pounds, brother John Dale Pounds, stepdaughter Vicki Conover, grandson Dustin Roach, Sammy Gibson, and husband Gib Crawley.

Scottie is survived by her siblings: Michael Pounds, Fran Lindley, Tom (Jan) Pounds, Dennis (Cindy) Pounds, Ginger (Jeff) Nelson, Mark (Pat) Pounds, Joe (Judy) Pounds, and sister in law Judy Pounds, her daughters: Theresa Gibson Ritz (Andy Gilbert), Vicki Gibson Hofmann (Kevin Hofmann), her stepson: Michael Crawley, her stepdaughters: Susan Crawley (Bob) Gilson, and Christy Crawley Merriman, her grandchildren: Erich (Leanne) Hofmann, Danielle (Mike) Jones, Ava Ritz, and Sophie Ritz, 3 great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W 38th St, Indianapolis, IN on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 1PM, with visitation starting at 11AM. Entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Greenwood IN.
