Marion Duncan Kortepeter

Marion Duncan Kortepeter. Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on January 19, 2024. She was 96 years old and was born in Durham. North Carolina in 1927 to her parents Fred M. Duncan and Gladys Stewart Duncan. Marion was survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, Paul F Kortepeter as well as their children Elizabeth Kortepeter Markey and William Thomas Kortepeter. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Elizabeth Markey, Thomas Markey, Emma O’Keefe, Kelly Kortepeter and Anna Louise Kortepeter as well as great grandchildren: Ella, Eden, Easton, Ezra and Eli. Marion was a lifelong member of Second Presbyterian Church, a proud graduate of Duke University, member of Crooked Stick Golf Club, Kappa Delta Sorority, and a long-time supporter of Christamore House. Marion was a true Southern Lady always befriending everyone with a gracious smile and a kind word. Not only did she tirelessly give of herself to others, she exemplified what it means to be a mother, wife, grandmother and friend. A family funeral service will be held at Second Presbyterian Church on Saturday, January 27th. Memorial contributions in Marion’s honor may be made to Christamore House, 502 N.
