It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Marilyn R. Dooley of Mooresville, In. on February 28th, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Rose Hornberger; husband, Earl Dooley; sister, Carol (Don) Albin; daughter-in-law, Shari Dooley; and grandson, Shane Harnish. She grew up in Indianapolis, In., and graduated from St. Agnes Academy in 1956. At age 50, Marilyn continued her education and became a respiratory therapist. She worked at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, In. for 25 years.
Marilyn is survived by her beloved brother, Richard (Marilyn) Hornberger; cherished children, Karen (Don) Dice, Greg (Sally Crosby) Dooley and Steve (Paige) Dooley; adored grandchildren, Jerad (April) Harnish, Austen (Julie) Dooley, Renae Harnish, Siera Dooley, Rebecca Harnish, Maggie Dooley and Megan Dice; and treasured great-grandchildren, Alethea Harnish, Payton Batchelor, Piper Harnish, Mariah Pratt, Hezekiah Harnish, John Dooley, Jonah Dooley, and Joanna Dooley.
We are going to miss Grandma Marilyn. She was the kind of person that no one forgets. We will miss her laugh, her generosity, her spunk, and her unwavering commitment to her family and friends. She loved life and she knew how to live it.
Please accompany family and friends in remembering Marilyn’s life at Little and Sons Funeral Home on Monday, March 4th from 4:00-8:00pm for the viewing.
