Marcella Smith

Marcella Smith, 51, Indianapolis, passed away on April 17, 2014. Marcella Smith "Spankey" was born on May 19, 1962 in Webb Mississippi to the parents of Joe and Pearlie Blakey. At the age of two her parents moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where she attended the Indianapolis Public System. She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1980 where she excelled in track and field. Marcella was the oldest daughter and the second born of seven children. Additionally, she was the mother of nine children with seven living. At an early age, Marcella accepted Christ where she attended Southern Baptist Church in Mississippi. Marcella loved having a good time. She could always make her family and friends laugh with her outgoing friendly personality.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Parents: Joe and Pearlie Blakey, Children: Manuel Williams, Rayshawn Smith, Ray Williams, Panika Smith, Sierra Williams, Rayshawnda Smith, Rayshawnda Davis, Siblings: Hosia Smith (Michelle), Lizzie Davis (Harold), Tamicca Dawn, Monique Porter (Roman), Angie Blakey and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Her visitation will take place on Friday, April 25, 2014, 10am-12pm, with the Homegoing Celebration commencing at 12pm at Grace Missionary Baptist Church. Her burial will take place in Sutherland Park Cemetery.
