Malachi "Mike" Johnson

Malachi "Mike" Johnson, 78, of Avon, Indiana, passed away May 4, 2020. He was born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee the son of the late Charlie and Cora (Matheny) Johnson. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran and retired from General Motors Allison Division. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Elvin, Elmer and David Johnson; sisters, Pauline Johnson, Charlene Sharder and Hattie Johnson.

Mike is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jewel (Frost) Johnson; his daughter, Theresa P. Carter (Bill); his son Aaron Michael Johnson (Nickey); his brothers, Bobby Joe Johnson and Billy Joe Johnson (Betty); his sister, Maggie Stacy (Kermit); grandchildren, Johnathon Carter (Zack), Timmothy Carter (Stephine), Erica Barger (John), Eric Carter, Michaela Carter, Jackson Carter, David Johnson and Alex Johnson; great-grandchildren, Skylan and Olivia Carter.

Private services for the family will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana. Burial will be in the Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.
