Mr. Leonard C. Marshall Sr. was born February 2, 1954 to Lorraine Tabb and Frank Marshall Sr. He went to his heavenly home on Monday, September 23, 2019.
Mr. Leonard C. Marshall Sr. graduated from Harry E. Woods High School. Leonard was happily married to Betty (Dycus)Marshall for over 40yrs. Leonard was a retired bus driver from Washington Township Transportation. He has been a member of Keep Indianapolis Beautiful for 4years.
Mr. Leonard C. Marshall Sr. confessed his belief in God at an early age. In the 1990’s Leonard was a member of Charity Christian Center Church under the leadership of Bishop Kenneth Sullivan Sr.; where he volunteered in the sound room and drove the church bus. He recently became a member of New Direction Church.
Mr. Leonard C. Marshall Sr.was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Tabb, father Frank Marshall Sr., brothers Frank Marshall Jr., Fredrick Marshall, Theodore Marshall Sr., sisters Francis Scott, Delores Taylor and daughter Rhonda Woods.
Mr. Leonard C. Marshall Sr. was a man that loved his family. He was unyielding in what he believed about life. Leonard would cook the best ribs and greens with bit of realness on the side. He loved cars of all kinds but loved to see them at their “Best”. Leonard loved to “shoot the breeze” with family and friends. One of his beloved hobbies was spending time outside with his beautiful grandkids. Leonard loved to listen to music and would “cut a rug” while doing so.
Mr. Leonard C. Marshall Sr. leaves cherished memories to his: wife, Betty Marshall; brother Kenneth Marshall Sr.; sister; Betty Paschal; sons; Raymond Leslie(Tijuanna), Leonard Marshall Jr.(Latia), Douglas Marshall, and Christopher Marshall(Takeshia), daughter; Tiana Marshall; Grandkids: Jasmine Marshall, Kyah Marshall, Raven Leslie, Kenyata Downs, Leonard Marshall II, Mahlon Marshall, Dayli Marshall, Daria Neal, Darrick Neal Jr., and Madison Marshall; four great-grandkids.
Funeral Service for Leonard will be held, 12:00 pm, Saturday, October 5, 2019, at New Directions Church, 5330 East 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN, with visitation from 10:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm at the Church.
Interment will take place, 11:00 am, Monday, October 7, 2019 at New Crown Cemetery, 2101 Churchman Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana.
