He was a United States Army Veteran.
He was baptized at Eastside Baptist Church. His wife, Constance Dale, daughter, Marcia Dale Jordan and son, Kevin Southern preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughter, Cathy DeJournett, sons, Ronald Southern, Barry Dale, Brian Southern (Dianne), David Dale, Sr., sister, Ola Mae Dale Coulson, 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday, March 25th, 2011, 1 P.M. at Eastside Baptist Church, 2845 Baltimore Avenue. Visitation will be on Friday from 11 A.M. Burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home.www.williamsandbluitt.com
