Kenneth Jubar Andrews (Kenboy) was born on January 25, 1973, to Clarence Andrews (Mae ”Mary” Andrews) and Kathleen Potter. He graduated from East Chicago Central High School in 1991 and pursued a degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Alabama A&M University. He worked for ABF Freight in Sauk Village, IL for 18 years as a forklift operator. He lived in Indianapolis, IN for a short time and while there he gave his life to Christ at New Life Worship Center in Indianapolis, IN on January 7, 2012. In 2014, Ken moved to Louisville, Kentucky where he worked as a production worker for Ford Motor Company and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union.
Ken enjoyed traveling (even though he was afraid of flying) with his long-term companion Tanitra Snardon. He was a rower on the Viking Hillbilly Dragon Boat Apocalypse team. He was loved by his teammates who plan to establish a scholarship memorial fund in his name to encourage black males to participate in the sport. He was a sports enthusiast, but his favorite teams were the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chicago White Sox.
Ken was hilarious and had a joyous laugh that was contagious to all who had the pleasure of meeting him. He loved to EAT and was a great cook. Most of all, he loved his family and friends.
On January 20, 2023, Kenboy’s spirit went back to God at the age of 49.
He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Clarence and Asalee Potter, and paternal uncle Rome Andrews Jr.
