Julie B McCullough

Julie B. McCullough, 84, of Indianapolis, passed away November 14, 2018. She was born September 25, 1934 in Akron, Ohio to the late Bruce and Glyde (Brown) Bierce. She was a graduate of Lady of the Elms, Bradford Jr. College, and Butler University (Summa cum laude).

Julie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Rudy McCullough; children, Michael McCullough, Cathy (Steve) Gerberding, Scott McCullough, and Tom (Michelle) McCullough; grandchildren, Billy McCullough, Tommy McCullough, Jackson McCullough, Matthew McCullough. She was also preceded in death by her son, Bill McCullough and brother, James Bierce.

Once their youngest child entered high school, Julie became an insurance agent for American United Life. She loved next to new shops, decorating, playing tennis and golf; and enjoyed helping others in various organizations at her church. While in Naples, she hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for over 80 people at church so no one would spend the holiday alone. Julie also loved spending time with family and friends on the beach in Michigan at palisades Park Country Club (PPCC).

Her memberships included the Jr. League, St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild, Second Presbyterian Church, and Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority at Butler University. She was an Elder at First Presbyterian in Naples, FL.

A Memorial Service for Julie will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN, with calling at the church from 10:00 AM until time of the service. Inurnment will take place immediately following services in the Memorial Garden Columbarium at the church.
