Julia received her Master’s degree in Education from Marian University and was a teacher at Roncalli High School for 30 years. She was a founding member of Our Lady of Greenwood. Julia was an avid bridge player, reader, enjoyed traveling, and loved her grandkids.
Julia is survived by her children, George (Pam) Speckman, Jr., Mark Speckman, Gretchen (Michael) Krug, and Mike Speckman; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Speckman, Sr., grandson, Brennan Krug, and brother, Wilfred Schwartz, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 7200 Sarto Drive, Indianapolis, IN, with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana.
