Joseph C. Yount Jr.

Joseph C. Yount Jr., age 70, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022 at his home. Joe was born in Indianapolis on September 25, 1952 to Joseph C. Yount Sr. and Betty June Yount, who passed away in 1969. Joe graduated from North Central High School in 1972. He worked at Eagle Machine Company, his father's business, in downtown Indianapolis for many years. He had other jobs throughout his lifetime, including his last job at Wal-Mart in the automotive department. Joe was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Indianapolis. Joe enjoyed anything to do with auto racing. He attended the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race several times and was always excited about all the activities surrounding this race during the month of May. He also enjoyed fishing and was an avid Indiana University and Indianapolis Colts fan. Joe was a kind-hearted person who always saw the good in everyone. He is preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother, Patricia Yount, and his stepsister, Evelyn Tapak. He is survived by his sister, Cheryl Bradshaw and her husband Tony, brother-in-law Joe Tapak, stepsister Debbie Parsley, and her husband Dave, many nieces and nephews, special cousins in California and Texas and several close friends. There are no services scheduled at this time.
