Joreen A. Caldwell

She formally lived Marion and Rochester, IN. She was a graduate in 1946 from Peru High School and from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1949. She married William C. Caldwell in 1950.

Joreen retired from the VA in Marion after 37 years. While in Marion she was President of Catholic Nurses Association and District #17 of ANA. She moved to Indianapolis in 1988 where she worked at St. Vincent Stress Center until she retired in 2006. She was an active volunteer at St. Vincent Hospice and Komen Indianapolis. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and St. Luke Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William and brother, Thomas. She is survived by son William Mark Caldwell, 2 brothers, Francis and Timothy, and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Joreen will be held Monday, May 17, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Leppert Mortuaries – Nora, 740 East 86th St, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke Catholic Church, 7575 Holliday Drive East, Indianapolis, Indiana 46260.
