Johnny Lee Hammock, was born in Rome, Georgia on March 19, 1950, Mother Ephus Savage, Stepfather the late Roy N. Savage Jr. Brothers, Roy Savage III, Gerald Savage, Sisters, Janice Mays, Toni Hamilton Watkins Mary Ann Stovall
Johnny attended Arsenal Tech High School and was a retired, disable veteran.
Johnny never got married or had children, but he had his share of friends in sunshine or rain, Johnny could be found sitting on the front porch greeting anybody that came by. Giving away anything that wasn’t nailed down.
Johnny could not live his life to the fullest due to his injury in the war. He sacrificed his life for his country, just like Jesus sacrificed his life for us. Johnny nephews and nieces meant more than words can describe he was their “Uncle Johnny."
Last but not least, Johnny had 3 brothers in laws, Ron Mays, Chancellor Stovall and Curtis Watkins, who Johnny will visit in Georgia.
Johnny will always be in the heart of his family. We the Family are most grateful for the gift of friends like you, who have been so kind and thoughtful during these hours of sorrow. Your prayers, visits, calls, flowers and every act of kindness. Thanks for keeping us in thoughts. May the Lord’s joy continue to shine on you for your deeds and acts of kindness.
