affectionately known to many as, "Nick," passed away February 10, 2014. He was born July 24, 1931, in Indianapolis, IN. John served his country proudly during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953 and was honorably discharged. John retired from Rolls Royce (formerly Detroit Diesel â€" Allison) in 1990, where he worked for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife and step-children, Hope Vatican Robey Tyson, Noel Robey and Arabian Nash (Indianapolis, IN); one daughter, Stephanie Lynn Tyson (Michael) Berry; one son, John Thomas Tyson Jr. (California); two stepdaughters, Sudie Richardson (Flushing, MI), Denise (Edward) Kincade (Raleigh, NC); one sister, Marguerite Quarles; along with seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and a host of other cousin, nephews, nieces and members and friends.
