John was a field service mechanic and after his retirement he went to work at Lowe's in 2008, and was still currently working. He was a member of Center Community Church in Plainfield, was a former member of Seerley Creek Christian Church and a Marine Corp. veteran.
John is survived by his wife of 52 years: Judy McCreary, children: Shanda (Wayne) Borkes, John Aaron and Matthew Patrick (Kelly) McCreary, sister: Marilyn Hamilton, grandchildren: Shelby, Katie, David, Savannah, Emma, Samuel and Nova, and great grandchildren: Chance and Evelyn. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Gloria J. Kruse.
A memorial service for John will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Center Community Church, 5938 South County Road 700 East, Plainfield, Indiana 46168.
