John had a warm, gentle, vibrant spirit and smile. His laughter was like a melody that would spread around the room, bringing happiness to those around him. It paired perfectly with his quick humor and taste for the best dad jokes that could brighten even the darkest days. He loved to share his happiness with others. John always had a way of finding the bright side in tough times, truly showing his optimistic outlook on life. He had a very caring heart, giving comfort to everyone. John was the life of every gathering, effortlessly igniting the party with his enthusiasm. His endless energy and liking for fun left amazing memories that will forever live in our hearts.
John had a passion for sports, especially basketball and football, whether cheering from the stands or watching games at home. One of his favorite things to do was play golf with his son, creating memories on the courses. Family vacations to tropical destinations with sandy beaches and clear waters were his absolute joy, as he found freedom by the ocean, where the breeze and waves brought him peace. He had so much love for his dogs, adding warmth to his life.

John Raymond Barclay is survived by his wife Tasha Barclay, children Chase Barclay, Taylor Kratoska, Emily Taylor, and Jordan Taylor, mother Dr. Carol Barclay, grandmother Marybell Moore, siblings Christopher Barclay and Tammy Bruner, nieces Kyleigh Archer, Chelsea Schiewer, Kennedy Prazak, and Emma Barclay, dogs Reese and Baylee, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Jack Barclay, grandparents Jack Barclay Sr, Juanita Barclay, and Jack Moore, nephew Patrick Day, and uncle Ronnie Moore.
