Jeanine Frances Pearcy

Jeanine Frances Pearcy, age 84, of Brownsburg, Indiana passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023. Jeanine was born in Shelby County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Virgil E. and Frances B. (Theobald) Simmermon. She graduated from Mays High School in Rushville, Indiana and was a Homemaker. She was preceded in death by parents Virgil and Frances (Theobald) Simmermon, aunts Elizabeth (Theobald) Kelley and Marjorie (Theobald) Fall, her husband Richard Pearcy, an infant daughter Teresa Ann Pearcy, her sons in law Stephen Wells and Jeffry Miller, and her brother, Desjean Simmermon. Jeanine is survived by her daughters, Anita Wells and Alisa Miller; 2 grandsons, Ben and Dan Wells; 2 sisters, Sharlene and Derrith Simmermon, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was an avid seamstress and gardener,and her garden and flowers in her yard were her pride and joy. She worked briefly in retail at K Mart and Wal Mart, both in Brownsburg, and at one time also ran her own sewing business in addition to being a full time homemaker. She was also active in teaching VBS and children's Sunday School for many years when she was younger. She was a former member of Bethesda Baptist Church and Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. A visitation for Jeanine will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Family Funeral Care-Rockville West, 5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Family Funeral Care-Rockville West. Jeanine will be laid to rest in Bennett Cemetery, Shelbyville, Indiana. Graveside service will be at 12:30 PM. Her family invites you to feel free to wear purple to either the visitation or the funeral in honor of her as that was her favorite color.
