Jamon Christopher Schmidt Jr.

Jamon Christopher Schmidt, Jr., 19, of Indianapolis, passed away October 25, 2018 as the result of an industrial accident. Jamon was born in Indianapolis September 29, 1999 the son of Becky (Shillings) Meador and Jamon C. Schmidt, Sr. He graduated this year from Ben Davis High School and was a Fork Truck Operator at Road Runner Transportation. He loved gaming, sports and his truck Sierra! He was also a big “Mommas Boy.” He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Gary Shillings.

J.J is survived by his mother Becky Meador and her husband Kyle; his father, Jamon C. Schmidt, Sr. and his wife Kristie; sisters, Lindsay Shillings and Kaela Schmidt; step-sisters, Kyla Meador and Alisha Horsley; step-brothers, Nathanial Johnson and Jacob Whitaker; grandparents, Peggy Shillings, Teresa Schmidt, Lannie Meador, Donna Hammon and Mark Schmidt; aunts; Melissa (husband; Sam Bingham) Shillings and Shannon and Erin Meador, Kim Agan and her husband Bobby; uncles, Danny Shillings and his wife Amy, and David Schmidt, several cousins also survive.

A celebration of Jamon’s life will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Family Funeral Care, 5791, Rockville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46224.
