James Edmund "Jim" Dunn Sr.

James Edmund “Jim” Dunn, Sr., 78, died Thursday, June 15 after battling cancer. Jim was born July 3, 1938 to the late Edmund and Marygrace (Kiplinger) Dunn in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Sunny Kot and Sandy Sundstrum. He graduated from Cathedral High School, retired from Herff Jones, and worked part time for Damman’s Lawn and Garden for 15 years after retiring. He was a member of the choir and Eucharistic minister at Little Flower Catholic Church, and stayed involved in his retirement with the Herff Jones Guild. Jim enjoyed fishing, golfing, trips to the beach in California, and euchre but most important to him was his family including his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of nearly 54 years, Patricia Dunn; sons, Jim Dunn (Kelly) and Tony Dunn; daughter, Beth Plummer (Mark); grandchildren, Amanda Dunn, Chelsey and Jared Plummer, and AJ, Michael, Jennifer, and Gillian Dunn; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Ramsey, Landon Gabbard, and Arianna Carter Visitation will be 4-8 pm Wednesday, June 21 at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 Shadeland Ave. Indianapolis, Indiana 46219. His Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Thursday, June 22 at Little Flower Catholic Church, 4720 E 13th St. Indianapolis, Indiana 46201 In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Little Flower Catholic Church.
