Helen Helga Shiley, age 95, of Bargersville, Indiana passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022. Helen was born in Viking, Alberta, Canada to the late Bertha (Voight) Pederson and Nils Pederson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Shiley and son, Roy Shiley. Helen was a truly special and loving lady. She always cared for others first and had a positive and enthusiastic spirit. Helen was also a dedicated and hard worker, cleaning houses until finally retiring when she was 84. She loved horses and her family including her grandsons and her treasured granddaughter. She and her husband, Harold were happily married for over 60 years! They spent over 50 years in Barrington, Illinois. Helen will be remembered by all for her special hugs including the staff who cared for her in recent years.
Helen is survived by her sons, Ray Shiley, Roger Shiley (Terri), and Ralph Shiley (Cathy); daughter-in-law, Sharon Shiley Deegan; grandsons, Troy Shiley (Ally), Jacob Shiley, and Matt Shiley; and granddaughter, Faith Shiley.
She will be laid to rest in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
