Grace Louise Lawson

96, most recently of Indianapolis and Greenwood, passed away Nov. 2, 2016. She was born Nov. 2, 1920, in Linton, IN, to Ocie and Grace Sponsler Keller, who preceded her in death. In 1941 she married Beauford W. Lawson, also of Linton, who preceded her in death. During World War II, Grace worked as a clerk for the Army Air Force Signal Corps at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH, where her husband was stationed. After the war, the couple settled in Indianapolis and later Danville, where she was a homemaker. After her husband's passing in 1996 she moved to Greenwood and was a member of Southport Heights Christian Church. She was also preceded in death by twin sons who died at birth, two sisters, and three brothers. Grace is survived by sons Beauford C. (Judy) Lawson, of Belle Chasse, LA, and Chris L. (Susan) Lawson, of Greenwood, IN; grandchildren Elke Digby (Mandeville, LA), Erin Lawson (Indianapolis), Vincent Lawson (Belle Chasse, LA) and Lee Findley (Bush, LA); great-grandchildren Lucy, Sam and Millie Digby, Dori Richoux, Jasmine and Jacob Findley.
