Gladys received her education in Indianapolis Public Schools 37, 56, 63 and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School. She attended Wishard Memorial Hospital, School of Nursing, and graduated in 1958. Gladys was an active nurse for 54 years.
Gladys departed this life on January 2, 2021 at 2:29pm at the age of 84. Gladys attended Jesus Is Lord Christian Fellowship Church upon her passing. Her mother Lillie Belle Gardner Wright, her father MD Chainey Wright, sisters Penny Wright, Sally Echols, Rosa Rice, and brothers John Wright, Henry Wright all proceeded her in death.
Gladys leaves behind to cherish her memory sister Helen, Shirley, Sandra, brother David, children David, Jewel (Keith), Ralph (Elisabeth) Angela, grandchildren Brian, Julius and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who all loved Gladys dearly, and will miss her.
