Frank Garrett, Sr. son of Thomas and Mary Lou Garrett, born June 7, 1931 in Aspen Hill, Tennessee.
Frank received his primary education and high school in the Aspen Hill school system.
After high school he enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served as a medic in Korea. He was honorably discharged November 4, 1954.
On October 22, 1952, Frank was united in Holy Matrimony to Mary Alice Howard. To this union eight beautiful children were born.
Frank worked at General Service Administration as a building manager and retired in 1987.
He was an avid gardener. His perfection was cutting his grass and maintaining a beautiful array of plants and flowers. He believed in hard work and doing a good days work.
Frank Garrett, Sr. passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by parents and a daughter, Patricia Ann Garrett; sister, Lucille Garrett; brothers, Thomas Garrett, Oliver Garrett.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Alice Garrett; sons Larry Garrett (Deloris), Frank Garrett, Jr., Barry Garrett; daughters, Stella Garrett, Marsha Stone (Anthony), Debra Holland, Jackie Ragin (Ali); sister, Emma Lindsey; brothers-in-law Waymon Howard and John Howard; sisters-in-law, Martha Jean Groves, Georgia Seymour of Nashville, Tennessee; 22 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
